Dr. Salvage offers psychopharmacologic intervention for a variety of psychiatric conditions including:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Attention disorders (ADHD, ADD)
  • Impulse disorders
  • Compulsion
  • Mood disorders
  • And more…

He combines humanism and warmth with careful clinical acumen, and a determination to have each patient achieve a complete recovery. He seeks to have each patient understand not only the nature of their illness, but also the benefits and potential complications of a wide array of psychopharmacologic options which are available. In this capacity, he often works with therapists from other disciplines as part of a team approach to integrated care. Dr. Salvage completed a clinical-teaching fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center in 1995. He garnered added expertise in the intersection of psychiatric and medical illness. He is frequently consulted by internists and other specialists when there is a question of how psychiatric treatment can benefit medical problems. Areas of particular interest include cancer, HIV/AIDS and reproductive disorders. For his work on the interface between these disciplines Dr. Salvage was honored by being appointed a Fellow of the American Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine.
